The Steelmax ABM26 self-propelled portable beveling machine uses a rotary milling head in conjunction with an auto feed travel motor to produce high-quality machined bevels on all types of ferrous or non-ferrous steel plate. The guide rail system used with ABM26 can be quickly and efficiently installed on the workpiece through the use of self-aligning rail clamps. For long plates, the length of the guide rail can be increased by adding additional rails or progressive indexing of individual rail sections. Once the machine is installed on the plate minimal operator involvement is required. The regulated travel speed of the auto feed carriage ensures a smooth and accurate bevel surface. As ABM26 can travel and mill in both directions, no time is wasted returning the machine to its start position on bevels that require multiple passes. The ABM26 uses a microprocessor-based control system that features variable-speed control and motor overload protection. FEATURES Auto feed at regulated travel speed Rapid setup rail clamping system Variable speed control for work on a variety of material and thickness Produces a wide range of bevel angles Motor overload with flashing LED warning indicator J groove beveling available on request
